Freedom, experience, learning, sharing, teaching… and above all, positive emotions! The Glenans sailing school is Europe’s leading sailing school. The association was founded over 70 years ago in the Glenan archipelago.
Here, the sailing school is present on several islands: Penfret, Bananec, Drenec and Fort Cigogne. It welcomes trainees aged 12 and over, in cruising, dinghy, catamaran, windsurf and kitesurf. Trainees
You must book your crossing online (round trip or single journey). Depending on your course, you will dock at Penfret or Saint Nicolas. The sailing school will then transfer you to the island of your choice.
In practice
In general, the launch leaves Concarneau at 2.30 pm and returns to Concarneau at the end of the course around 12.30-1.00 pm. Timetables will be indicated during the online booking.
Present yourself 30 minutes before the boat’s departure at our agency in the marina to collect your boarding passes, armed with your reservation number.
If you arrive by train, stop at Rosporden. Get the coach n° 4, “Rosporden Gare-Concarneau Port”, to arrive in the centre of Concarneau, close to the marina. Get off at Concarneau Ville close stop.
You can also get off at Quimper station. Get the coach n° 43 or n° 47 and get off at Concarneau Port. Please check the coach timetables on Coralie before booking the train.

Luggage
Two pieces of hand luggage per person are allowed on board, up to a maximum of 30 kg.

This service is only available to trainees at the Glenans sailing school.
FAQs
First check with the sailing school whether you need to book a one-way or return trip with the Vedettes de l’Odet. If you are still unable to book online, please contact us by phone.
In general, the boat leaves the islands at 10.30 am and arrives in Concarneau about 12.30-1.00 pm. If you need to book a train afterwards, we advise you to choose a departure time after 3.00 pm.
You are expected at the Vedettes de l’Odet ticket office in the marina 30 minutes before the boat’s departure to collect your boarding passes.
