Description
Have a day in the Glenan Islands and enjoy a unique experience aboard Captain Nemo, the catamaran with underwater vision.
After an hour’s crossing from the mainland, you dock on Saint Nicolas Island, the main island of the Glenan. During your free stopover, the pedestrian path offers a beautiful walk accessible for everyone, and the emerald-green waters invite you to take a dip.
In the afternoon, you’ll board Capitain’s Nemo, a underwater catamaran, to explore the Glenan archipelago in a whole new way!
The boat’s two underwater lounges invite you to take an incredible plunge into the beauty of the Glenan seabed, where the wealth of marine biodiversity leaves visitors dreaming. In this wonderful world of silence, fish, crustaceans and starfish hide among himanthales, strange algae that look like mermaid hair. And to make your trip a truly educational experience, you’ll be accompanied by an aquatic enthusiast. The splendours of the Grande Bleue are yours!
The tour continues on the upper deck of the boat through the archipelago for a guided cruise. These paradise-like islands, with their fine white sand and crystal-clear waters, have many surprises in store for you, which you’ll discover in the company of your guide: fauna, flora, navigation, fishing, historical anecdotes… the Glenan Islands will hold no more secrets for you!

Underwater vision allows you to observe fishes of Brittany’s coasts in their natural environment, such as sea bass, pollack, oldsmelt, John Dory, mackerel and sand eel. We preserve species without baiting them.
A colorful aquatic jungle with a variety of constantly moving algae dances before you. Laminaria, sea lettuce, eelgrass beds, seagrass and himanthales are all home to fish, anemones, sea urchins, jellyfish and starfish.
Guest reviews
Crew on the ball. Super-clean boat. They arrived very early and were brightening up the boat for our crossing. Attentive crew. Superb crossing with explanations and what can I say about the marine exploration? A real garden under the sea. We had a great time with an attentive and caring crew. Thank you for a wonderful day !
We set off in the sunshine to visit the Glénan islands and made our crossing on the Vedettes de l’Odet . Booking was very easy, and our hostess gave us great advice on how to make the most of our day on the islands, which was exactly what we did! Departure at 11am and arrival at the top for lunch, no restaurant reservation but a small picnic on the rocks facing the sea! We took a short walk around the island of Saint Nicolas and then embarked on a guided cruise around the islands with an underwater view, a very interesting experience with an exceptional guide! Back to Saint Nicolas for two hours on the beach in a dream setting. Back to Bénodet around 7pm, with stars in our eyes! Thanks for all the good advice from our hostess!
A much-appreciated cruise, thanks to the comfort of the boats that take us to the Glénan archipelago or on an underwater tour. It’s a great way to discover the archipelago and the underwater world, well guided by the crew. We were able to spot a dolphin, which naturally accompanied the boat towards the port on the way back, and it was incredible to see it so close up! It’s easy to find the meeting place to board and booking is well advised at Benodet harbour, so it’s up to you! Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to see the Dolphin too! 😃
