Description
Saint Nicolas island is France’s smallest nature reserve to explore!
With Lulu, a highly experienced nature guide, you’ll explore the walking trail on the island of Saint Nicolas to discover the natural environment of the Glenan islands. You’ll observe flora such as coastal borage, armeria, forget-me-nots and geraniums, moss and lichen with delicacy and precision.
Watch out for migratory birds in flight and nesting, such as oystercatchers, common, caugek and roseate terns, crested cormorants and long-necked grebes. You’ll understand the fragility of the ecosystem and become more sensitive to the natural world around you. A real experience for the whole family with Lulu, who is passionate and exciting for everyone! Lulu doesn’t speak english, so we hope you will understand french.
In April, you can observe the Glenan Narcissus, an endemic species that covers the Saint Nicolas reserve like a carpet. Nature lovers and botany enthusiasts come to admire this plant with its distinctive yellow petals.
