Saint Nicolas island is France’s smallest nature reserve to explore!

With Lulu, a highly experienced nature guide, you’ll explore the walking trail on the island of Saint Nicolas to discover the natural environment of the Glenan islands. You’ll observe flora such as coastal borage, armeria, forget-me-nots and geraniums, moss and lichen with delicacy and precision.

Watch out for migratory birds in flight and nesting, such as oystercatchers, common, caugek and roseate terns, crested cormorants and long-necked grebes. In April, you can observe the Glenan Narcissus, an endemic species that covers the Saint Nicolas reserve like a carpet. Nature lovers and botany enthusiasts come to admire this plant with its distinctive yellow petals.
