Terms & Conditions
1 – Responsibility
The liability of the maritime carrier is governed by the laws of June 18, 1966 N°67-5 of January 3, 1967 and the decree N°66-1078 of December 31, 1966.
The shipping company “Les Vedettes de l’Odet” cannot be held responsible for any changes to schedules or cancellation of departures due to force majeure (bad weather conditions, damage, large numbers of passengers, etc.).
The quality of the service and the beauty of the scenery and seabed depend on weather conditions. Crossing times are given as an indication only and may vary considerably from ship to ship.
All passengers, including children under 3 and free passengers, must be in possession of a “Les Vedettes de l’Odet” boarding pass. Passengers holding a reduced-fare ticket must be able to produce their personal proof of entitlement when checked on board. In the absence of valid proof, passengers must pay a full-fare ticket.
During embarkation and disembarkation operations, the company’s liability is limited in all circumstances to the period during which passengers or their belongings are under its direct control on board the ships or its premises, excluding all installations and works in the public domain.
Some ships have been fitted out to transport people with reduced mobility in the best possible conditions of comfort and safety, but you should be aware that the services and equipment we provide for you may have their limitations: raised partitions, steep staircases, etc. In addition, port structures are not always suitable for embarkation or disembarkation of passengers with reduced mobility. In order to advise you on the most suitable boats and ports of embarkation for your disability, we need to identify your needs at the time of booking.
2 – Groups
Group rates apply to groups of 20 or more paying passengers travelling together. Prices include the following taxes: harbor dues, user fees and TPM (tax on passengers bound for protected areas). One free accompanying person per 20 paying guests.
The 30% deposit is payable on booking. The balance must be paid on the day of the service at the latest. The final headcount will be communicated 72 hours before departure and will serve as the basis for invoicing.
3 – Price list
Prices shown are inclusive of all taxes and are subject to changes in taxes and other levies, and to significant variations in fuel prices during the year.
4 – Luggages
Two pieces of hand luggage per person are allowed on board, i.e. 30 kilos per person. They are kept by the passenger throughout the crossing and must remain under surveillance. Hand luggage is a means of transporting personal effects. The container is either a bag (travel bag, backpack), a suitcase or a package with a handle. Handling must be easy. Boxes, trunks, parcels, cartons and objects are not considered as baggage. These goods are subject to specific taxation and transport conditions.
5 – Animals
Pets travel under their owner’s responsibility after payment of a transport ticket. Dogs must be kept on a leash and are not allowed on seats. They are not authorized on the beaches of the Glenan archipelago by prefectoral decree. Cats and other small animals must travel in a crate or basket. The shipping company “Les Vedettes de l’Odet” reserves the right to refuse on board its ships any animal whose behavior might present a nuisance to passengers. Dogs are not allowed on certain services.
